Isola Estate is the established vineyard upon which Langham Place Vineyard Resort + Spa will be developed.

The Vineyard

Isola Estate has its own unique vineyard, nestled in the 'Onetangi Belt', arguably Waiheke's best grape growing region. The Onetangi Belt acts as a basin, results in high summer temperatures and lower wind speeds. Consequently fruit set is improved and the grapes are riper, higher in sugars and produce higher concentrations of colours. The focus of the small (2.5 acre) vineyard is to produce premium Bordeaux style wine, cropped low at around 1.4kgs per vine.

The vines are meticulously managed all by hand, a luxury that allows constant contact with each and every vine. Future developments in the vineyard include the replanting of the 4acre 'Airfield' block, and assimilation into sustainable grape growing practices.
